ABOUT

The Architecture Photography Awards is an international photography competition dedicated to showcasing outstanding visual interpretations of architecture from around the world. We celebrate photographers who capture not just buildings – but the soul of space, structure, light, and design.

Our mission is to elevate architecture photography as a fine art and to give talented visual artists the platform, recognition, and reach they deserve. Whether minimalist or monumental, modern or historic, our award highlights work that transforms the built environment into a compelling visual narrative.

A Platform for Global Recognition and Career Growth

The Architecture Photography Awards offer far more than just prizes. We provide international exposure, prestigious jury recognition, and a global platform for photographers to connect with photographers, curators, editors, and fellow artists.

Winners and finalists are showcased across a variety of platforms. In addition to certificates and cash prizes, selected photographers benefit from:
• A year-long presence in our online Winners’ Gallery
• Opportunities for media features and editorial spotlights
• A respected credential in the world of architectural photography

Celebrating Vision, Precision, and Emotion

Great architectural photography is more than composition - it’s a way of seeing. We believe in images that balance technical mastery with artistic depth, that elevate form and space into stories that resonate with people around the world.

Our 23 carefully curated categories reflect this belief. They span a wide range of genres - from symmetry, minimalism, and urban landscapes to futuristic visions, reflections, and human-architecture interaction. This diversity invites every artist to find their voice and showcase their unique way of seeing the world.

our judges

The Architecture Photography Awards 2026 are evaluated by an international panel of respected photographers and industry professionals with diverse perspectives on contemporary architectural photography.

Christian Theile

Architectural and interior photographer

Christian Theile is a Munich-based architectural and interior photographer with over a decade of professional experience. His work focuses on modern, minimalist architecture, exploring the balance of symmetry, structure, and light. Known for his clear and luminous visual style, he captures the essence of architectural spaces through precise compositions and refined geometry.

Driven by a strong interest in urban development, Christian regularly travels across Germany and Europe to photograph distinctive buildings and evolving cityscapes. For him, photography goes beyond documentation – it is a creative interpretation rooted in the context and history of a place. As a jury member of the Architecture Photography Awards 2026, he brings a thoughtful perspective and appreciation for architectural storytelling across styles and periods.

Marcus Cederberg

Minimal & Architecture Photographer

We are all living in an era of endless distraction and constant input. Channeling a sense of calm, Marcus Cederberg translates society’s intrinsic need for a slower pace into minimalist photographs.

The Swedish artists outlook on life is thereby converted into colors, contrasts and negative space. His work has graced the walls of galleries in USA, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Denmark, Portugal, France, Italy and Sweden.

He is represented at Fotografiska, the Swedish Museum of Photography. His ”less is more” message echoes from his Instagram @marcuscederberg where he has become a minimalistic influencer with over 300.000 followers.
